What do you want to be when you grow up?

You have surely heard this question many times. It Is the usual question we ask our youngsters, with the aim of helping them to focus on a goal that will guide them to structure their studies and their life plans.

But, what about us? what do we want to be now, that we’ve grown up?

Many people reach adulthood without even knowing what they really want. If you ask around: What would you really like to do? many people will answer something similar to “I don’t know” . Interestingly, if you ask these people if they are happy with what they do, the will probably answer something like: ” Well, this is life.”

Our ability to adapt also involves adapting to the situations that life brings without questioning whether it is what we desire. I’m not saying that adaptability is bad, on the contrary. But the conformism and passivity ends up producing a feeling of apathy in people without a clear goal, and this is not going to bring us much happiness.

What can we do?

The first thing, could be to taking some time to think about what it is you really like. What you really want to do in your life.
