Cauliflower and sweet potato cream soup

Onion, sweet potato and cauliflower, round and sweet vegetables, combined in this recipe to nourish the energy of the earth element.

The energy of this element is the basis of all other energies. The earth is the center that nourishes the other elements and nourishes us as well.

It not only gives us the sustenance that we need to feed ourselves, but it is also our support, the ground on which we rest and relate with each other.

There is a period between seasons of about two weeks, called dojo, in which the energy of the earth element is more active.

It is a period in which energy is reorganized, going back to the center, to prepare for the season to come. That is why it is so important, in this period, the presence in our meals, of foods that help us go to the center and reorganize ourselves. Calming and stabilizing our body.

Good quality sweet-tasting foods, especially round vegetables, are best to help us flow and tune into this energy.

Cut the onion into julienne and the other vegetables into cubes.

Heat a little bit of oil in a casserole and begin to saute the onion with a pinch of salt. Let it cook gently until it becomes golden brown and it releases all the water.

When it becomes golden and shiny add the sweet potato and the cauliflower and another pinch of salt.

Saute for 5 minutes.

Add water to cover the vegetables, even if they do not get fully covered it should be enough.

Bring to a boil, place the lid, lower the flame and let it cook over a low heat for about 15 minutes.

Take a little bit of the broth and dilute the miso in it. Add it to the cream, mix, and turn it off.

Let it sit for a few minutes before blending.

Cook it with love … and enjoy!
